System Requirements

Though ScreenPlay is amazingly simple, capturing, compressing, archiving, and broadcasting video simultaneously is complex enough to tax even the most modern PC hardware. Consequently, we recommend that you use a properly equipped PC for serious capture needs.

Huelix ScreenPlay requires Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows 2003. These are the only supported operating systems. DirectX 8.1 or higher is also required on Windows 2000 systems. You can get the latest version of DirectX (9.0c) from:

Differences between full version and trial version

The intent of the trial version is to enable you to evaluate ScreenPlay. Consequently, the trial version has all capabilities of the full version. The only limitation is the size and duration of video that you can save to disk. The trial version is limited to saving about a minute of screen capture video or about 500KB depending on your settings.

Screen broadcast and streaming are not limited in this way - you can stream as long as you like. This feature is provided so that you will be able to assess how well ScreenPlay handles long durations of screen video capture. Poorly crafted software normally has resource leaks that surface when used for longer durations.
